Today we were blessed with two new partners. I was sharing this progress with a partner tonight at church. He was excited to see the progress, but the true picture of partnership was seen when she walked up. She had heard only the end of the conversation and excited asked "where are WE at?" When I shared we were about $35 away form our 60% goal she then said "WE are making progress. WE are going to reach OUR goal."
That is what partnership is really about. WE are raising our support so that WE can be used by God to share the Good News of Christ with the people of Spain. Yes, Scott and I and the kids get to move to Spain and be the hands, feet, and voice of this partnership - but every person who joins the partnership - through prayer, finances, and going are all part of the journey.
Tonight was a picture of the verses on our prayer card...
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:14 - 15
This partnership development is a lot of work - but it is fun!
